SHAH ALAM, Jan 16 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today launched the state education portal ePTRS.my to help Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) examination candidates.
Amirudin said the digital platform provides learning session for Bahasa Melayu, English, Science, Mathematics and History subject for SPM candidates, it also offers Pengajian Am and Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for STPM candidates.
“The ePTRS.my portal also provides an opportunity for students to join a question and answer (Q&A) session with the guidance teachers. In addition, we also upload learning videos for students to do revision.
“This initiative is the result of cooperation between the State Education Department, Selangor Public Library Corporation and Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI). Hopefully, this will help the examination candidates during the new norm following the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said while at the virtual launch of the portal on Facebook today.
Amirudin said for students who are not enrolled with the Selangor People’s Tutoring Programme (PTRS), the state government provides special access to schools in Selangor to enable them to access the portal.
In March last year, the state government implemented the Selangor Tutor e-learning programme during the movement control order (MCO) period.
The initiative which provided three million questions received 100,000 student registrations since it was implemented in April till September last year.
Also on September 11, 2020, Amirudin said PTRS has benefited 10,000 SPM students last year.
He said since its introduction in 2009, PTRS had succeeded in improving the fate of the medium and weak students by helping them pass their exams.
