TyC Sports says Rojo will wait until the transfer deadline on 1 February before deciding on his next move.
The report adds Rojo has agreed in principle to return to his homeland to join Boca Juniors, but he is waiting to see whether any European club bids for him.
The 30-year-old defender has not featured for Manchester United this season and his contract at Old Trafford expires this summer.
