Fulham boss Scott Parker was proud of his players in defeat to Chelsea.

Mason Mount scored the only goal of the game at Craven Cottage.

Parker said, "I thought we started the game very compact, got a foothold in it just before the sending off and had a massive chance for Ivan Cavaleiro. That has to go in.

"You get to 78 minutes and you're playing the clock and hoping to see it through.

"I've got nothing but admiration for my players. To go up against a team of the quality of Chelsea, to show the commitment and the way we played under difficult circumstances, was pretty remarkable.

"You're relying on a couple of chances and they need to go in. That wasn't to be and the sending-off down to 10 men meant it was difficult."

Antonee Robinson saw red on the day and Parker added: "I've not seen it back. At the time I didn't think it, but I wouldn't want to comment without looking back at it.

"Antonee is disappointed, obviously. It's that balance between being committed and aggressive. But if it is reckless then he has done it and needs to learn. He's a young lad and he's been superb.

"I don't want to knock that commitment out of us."
