Police won’t tolerate those found violating SOPs: CP

Kota Kinabalu: Police will not tolerate any individuals found violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 starting today (Wednesday), said Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali (pic).

He said the SOPs would be strictly enforced and no further advice or warning would be given.

“A compound will be issued to any individuals found to be defiant, there will be no mercy this time,” he said at a dinner at the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK), here, Monday.

During the event, the Sabah police contingent also presented certificates of appreciation to 15 media practitioners and radio presenters in the State, including a Daily Express journalist.

Hazani said the certificates were in appreciation of the media’s cooperation and support for the police in news coverage.

“The role of journalists is important and large, especially in disseminating information to the community pertaining to the police service,” he said.
