Manchester United will face Burnley before their big game against Liverpool.
United's game in hand in the Premier League against Burnley has been rearranged for January 12 - just five days before they travel to Anfield to play title rivals Liverpool.
United were due to take on Burnley on the opening day of the season back in September but, like many clubs competing in latter stages of European competition last term, were allowed to delay their 2020-21 campaign to give them time to rest between the seasons.
Heading into the new year, United have emerged as title contenders and with a game in hand sit in second just three points behind their bitter rivals.
Now they have had their wish granted after the Premier League confirmed the game will take place on January 12.
