Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has rejected a return to Italy this month.
Mustafi is available from the Gunners this month and attracted enquiries from Genoa.
However, the Germany international has turned down the approach and is reluctant to return to Serie A after a previous spell with Sampdoria.
Mustafi has less than six months left on his Gunners contract.
A move to the Bundesliga has also been mooted for the defender, who has never played senior football in his native Germany.
