Drugs: Family of 6 among 7 held

Kota Kinabalu: City police have crippled a drug trafficking syndicate following the arrests of seven individuals, including a family of six, and seizure of a total of 218.16gm of syabu worth RM21,816 in two separate raids around Kg Sembulan, here.

In the first raid at 12.30pm on Thursday, City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji said a Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (BSJN) team arrested a family - husband and wife along with their son, daughter and their spouses - aged between 20 and 66 years.

He said six packets of syabu weighing 67.80gm in a black plastic were found hidden under the house’s tiles.

“A check showed two of them have previous records under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and their urine tested positive for drugs,” he said, Saturday.
