Kota Kinabalu: The BIMP-EAGA Business Council Sabah (BEBC Sabah) has been advised to focus on the BIMPEAGA platform, especially with the announcement of Jakarta to be relocated in Kalimantan.The advice came from Industrial Development Minister cum Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam during the BEBC Sabah’s courtesy visit led by its Chairman Carl Moosom, here, recently. “If we don’t cooperate and organise businesses with our neighbours, then who will? This is an opportunity for us to see how Sabah may benefit out of this and the State Cabinet is aware too the cross-border road linking the southern border of Sabah to Kalimantan is identified,” said Gunsalam.

He explained further the road at the Kalimantan side is now sealed but Sabah side is still in the infancy planning stage according to his report to date.
