Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams paid tribute to Gaizka Garitano after defeat to Barcelona last night.
Athletic marked the first game in charge of Marcelino with a courageous 2-3 reverse.
Williams said afterwards, "We were given very little time to adjust to what the coach wants.
"We have tried to capture on the field what we have worked in these two training sessions. The things we did with Gaizka are going to be very good for us.
"Garitano did a spectacular job because he took on a team very screwed up. Now with Marcelino we are like sponges trying to get his ideas as quickly as possible.
"Marcelino is going to contribute a lot."
