Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa defended Ezgjan Alioski after their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham.
Alioski was criticised for his performance on the day.
But Bielsa reasoned, " The situations that Alioski may have suffered are not linked to the resources that he has. He has all the necessary resources to neutralise the capabilities of the opponents. So the situations that he faces are a very big disadvantage, like for any player it would be difficult for him to resolve.
"And for that I feel responsible because there are situations in the game when we make it difficult for him to defend, due to our oganisation. Any defender when they have to defend at a disadvantage.
"I'm referring to the moment when an opponents forward has the ball at their feet and they have time to run with it or losses with the ball that require an adaptation that is very difficult or when he has to return when we are attacking and the ball is lost unexpectedly, these are situations where it makes it more difficult for the defender and have to do with the organisation of the game and that is where Alioski is less responsible and I am more responsible."
