TAWAU: The Military Hospital in Tawau which began operations on Oct. 20, last year, at the Tawau Sports Complex is now fully under the Ministry of Health. The handover ceremony was officiated by the Hospital’s Commander, Col Dr Shamsul Bahary Muhamad and Tawau Hospital Director Dr Norlimah Arsah, Wednesday, and witnessed by 13th Commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Abdul Razak Hussain. Also present were Tawau District Disaster Management Committee Chairman Joseph Pang, Tawau Hospital Deputy Director Dr Azman Ibrahim and Tawau Health Officer, Dr G. Navindran (pic).

Abdul Razak said since it’s launch, the Military Hospital had treated 1,366 patients from various disciplines, including deploying military medical team to Kunak Hospital which carried out 36 emergency, semi-elective and elective cases.
