BATU PAHAT: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has uncovered another tactic used by drug smugglers with the discovery of 8kg of syabu from a buoy in the waters off Sungai Sarang Buaya yesterday. Batu Pahat maritime director Mohamad Othman said the drug, worth RM440,000, was found by officers patrolling the waters off Batu Pahat and Muar at 2pm. He said the team detected a suspicious object at the buoy at Permatang Kuala, five nautical miles south of Sungai Sarang Buaya.
