Kota Kinabalu: Alliance for Safe Community Chairman, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, said new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) may be needed to stem the spread of the Covid-19 that has already shown signs of mutating.

“It goes without saying that we must always be vigilant against the spread of viruses like the Covid-19.

“It behoves all of us — the Government, the private sector, voluntary organisations and individuals—to take all precautionary measures without fail or compromise,” he said in a statement, here, Sunday.

He said the currently-prescribed precautionary measures are to wear a mask, to clean hands regularly, and to keep a safe distance from others. But are these SOPs enough?
