West Brom boss Sam Allardyce admits they need to buy this month after defeat to Arsenal.
The Baggies lost 4-0 at home to the Gunners on Saturday.
Allardyce said, "It's never been as hard as it is at the minute [to come in to a club] with the pandemic. This one in the pandemic and the amount of games we gave had to play has made it difficult.
"We have to come to a conclusion on how we need to go forward - particularly after the FA Cup game against Blackpool because I will see my other players. We have to achieve first and foremost a clean sheet, without that we will find it difficult to get out of this position. That is the first priority for us. As we saw today and against Leeds, we leave too many spaces and let in too many goals at the moment.
"At the end of January we'll have a better picture and see what we have been capable of in the window to improve our squad. Everybody needs a boost. I've always managed with the players we've brought in to improve the team and it's got us out of relegation problems. That's the way for us to get out of trouble.
"What disappointed me was being in the game at 2-0 and then giving away a sloppy goal. If we have to do anything we have to cut that out. We've cut out getting sent off and now we need to cut out conceding stupid goals."
