Olympique Marseille sources have played down talk of an approach to former Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde.
On Saturday, after defeat to AS Monaco, Valverde was put together with OM by Movistar.
It was later claimed OM's approach to the experienced coach was rejected, with Valverde unconvinced by the French club's project.
However, a source within the club reached out to Le Parisien to insist that "it is only rumours".
It's understood Valverde would prefer to find himself a new LaLiga club rather than move abroad.
