Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane insists he's happy for Luka Jovic over his start with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jovic has returned to Eintracht on a six-month loan spell in order to try and regain some confidence, and the 23-year-old netted two goals in a cameo appearance off the bench in his first game back at the club.

"I am happy and I like it. I wish him and everyone else the best," Zidane said during Tuesday's pre-match press conference.

Jovic joins the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilon in succeeding away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but Zidane still believes the Serbian has a future at the club.

"Madrid is difficult, I've experienced it as a player, and what Luka has done is go and play," he noted.

"I think it has been a good option to buy Luka and I am happy for him, and [I hope] for him to do the same one day in Madrid. But inside and outside [the club] it's different.

"He has a future, and he can show it at Madrid and it's the same for everyone. Here there is always a very strong competition, but the coach is not to blame."
