Manchester United winger Amad Diallo scored on his U23 debut, but was overshadowed by one teammate in victory against Liverpool on Saturday.
Diallo made a spectacular start to his United career when he grabbed an early goal and went on to claim another from the penalty spot to put the U23s on the road to a thrilling 6-3 victory away at Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
It was terrific debut for the 18-year-old Ivory Coast-born winger who was transferred from Italian club Atalanta earlier in the season. And it was also a day of celebration for striker Joe Hugill who bagged four goals, including a 15-minute second-half hat-trick.
United won two penalties - scored by Diallo and Hugill - through Hannibal Mejbri.
Liverpool's goals came via Tyler Morton, Luis Longstaff and Joe Hardy.
