Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was delighted with their victory last night against Newcastle United.
It marked the Blades' first win in the Premier League this season.
Wilder said, "I thought the performance was good.
"It might get talked about that the sending off made it easier for us to dictate the gamer and obviously the penalty. I felt it was coming, first half especially we set the game up to give us a foothold to go and win the game.
"I thought we had an identity.
"I've talked to the players about it. We have slipped a little bit but that was us. Handbrake off, playing well and going for it. I was delighted with the performance it's a big result because of the length of time we have not had one."
Wilder also said: "We can't waste it. We have been after one of these results for a long, long time.
"I have said it all along I think that has been coming.
"We have lost so many games by a single goal and we need to take our big opportunities and we took our big opportunity and we kept a clean sheet as well.
"Delighted for Aaron but we have to build on it. I am a down-to-earth manager and we are back in tomorrow and working towards a huge game on Sunday.
"I want us to be competitive in terms of performances and results and we have shown that we are that competitive side.
"A lot of teams would vouch for that but the obvious fact is that we have not won for a long, long, time and that is always the thing that everybody looks at and most importantly I do.
"We used Saturday. It might not look a spectacular result at Bristol but it helped the players and they used that to take it into tonight and now the key is to take it forward."
