CM outlines SOPs in line with MCO

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government has outlined several standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with the Movement Control Order (MCO) announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday.

The two-week MCO imposed in the State takes effect today (Wednesday). Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor (pic) said under the MCO, eateries, cafes, restaurants and food stalls or trucks are allowed to operate but for takeaway and drive-through only.

“The permitted operating hours is from 6am to 8pm and no dine-in is allowed. Delivery services for food and other items is also allowed from 6am to 9pm,” he said this in a statement, Tuesday. Inter-district and inter-state travel will not be allowed, but certain exemptions are permitted.

“Travelling across districts is not allowed except for emergency cases such as death or natural disasters,” he said, adding that inter-district travel is allowed for essential service workers provided they have a work pass or permission letter from their employers.
