Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez was delighted with victory at Southampton.
Martinez kept a cleansheet for the 1-0 win.
He said, "We were so frustrated after the Burnley game. We had so many chances to kill the game and then we conceded three goals from nowhere.
"But we have a really good team spirit. The 10 guys in front of me did a massive job today.
"We knew how tough [Southampton] were going to be. [Tonight was] a really good performance.
"I came here with massive ambitions. I always say we are not here to stay in the division, we have the quality to go to Europe. I want [to finish in the] top six, we have a great team and a great manager.
"We've got a really good team. I'm really happy to be here. [It's] West Ham next, we want back-to-back wins."
