New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admits a chat with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola helped convince him about the move.
he two know each other well having faced each other in the Bundesliga.
Tuchel said: "Absolutely, I spoke with Pep a lot since he works here. I follow, of course, the Premier League very, very closely from Germany and from France.
"That is absolutely clear because this is the benchmark of leagues. You could see yesterday on a physical level, athleticism and devotion, it's a completely different level to what we're used to.
"I love it because it brings out the best in us coaches. I love it because it brings the best in our players. I truly believe that. It's something to step up for me, personally, to compete against the best coaches in the world.
"That brings out the best in me. I want to be ready for that. I'm very positive about it and it's a big challenge."
