Kota Kinabalu: Chairperson of the Sabah Women’s Advisory Council (MPWS), Datuk Noni J. Said, said the appointments of two high-ranking women officials augured well for heightened women’s advancement in the years to come. She said the Council regarded the high-profile appointments as a much-welcomed signal of further increased women’s representation, be it in public service, the political arena, non-political sphere or economic sector, in the near future.“We (MPWS) are delighted that yet another highly-qualified woman with an exemplary record of service and professional integrity, has been appointed to the constitutional post of State Attorney-General. “Without a doubt, we view the hierarchical promotion as a natural progression for Nor Asiah Mohd Yusof who has been serving as Deputy State Attorney-General with commitment and dedication,” she said.
