Kota Kinabalu: The Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) second Littoral Mission Ship (LMS) named “Sundang”’ has arrived at the RMN base in Sepanggar, near here, on Sunday.The ship, which departed Qidong, Shanghai on Jan 17, was welcomed by the new Eastern Fleet Commander, Vice Admiral Datuk Sabri Zali, along with the top brass of the Eastern Fleet with strict observance of the standard operating procedures (SOPs). “Hopefully the LMS Sundang commissioning ceremony in February can be implemented according to plan,” said Sabri, adding all 45 crew consisting of seven officers and 38 personnel will undergo self-quarantine.
Sabri said health screening tests have been carried out by the Kota Kinabalu Regional Armed Forces Hospital.
