Food exchange programme stopped

SANDAKAN: Due to insufficient funding and the constraint of Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0, the Trash for Food Exchange programme has to be stopped temporarily.

The programme was introduced by Tanjong Papat Assemblymen, Datuk Frankie Poon (pic) on Nov 26 which allows Sim-Sim villagers, especially those who in need during the EMCO or to collect bags of trash to exchange for food at Bridge H Sim-Sim. 

A total of 3,000 packs of food were distributed.

Frankie announced the discontinuation of the programme yesterday via his official Facebook page, Friday.
