TAWAU: A total of eight roadblocks (SJR) will be set up around the district starting 12 midnight Wednesday following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 from Jan 13 to 26 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Among areas involved are KM50 Check Point, Jalan Tiku, Batu 2 ½ Jalan Apas, Jalan Kuhara, Jalan Tawau Lama, Jalan Tg Batu, Simpang Jambatan Putih and Road Check Point (RCP) Kalabakan. Tawau district police chief, ACP Peter Umbuas in his media statement requested the cooperation of the public not to leave the house without any valid reason throughout the implementation of MCO 2.0. “Please abide by the latest Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by the National Security Council (MKN) and please cooperate with SJR security personnel and monitoring teams,” he said.
