Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes admits he found their 0-0 draw at Liverpool a battle.

The Portugal international was not at his brilliant best on Merseyside and made way for Mason Greenwood in the closing stages as United searched for a winner.

Fernandes had one free-kick that whistled just wide in the first half and drew a fine save from Alisson with a close-range effort after the break but was generally wasteful on the ball.

Roy Keane claimed the 26-year-old's performance was disappointing, and Fernandes too, was clearly frustrated with his own output.

On social media, he posted a picture of himself looking frustrated at Anfield, along with a caption which translated as: "One day when you look back, you will see that the most beautiful days were the ones you fought."
