PETALING JAYA: Pejuang founder and former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) slammed PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, calling him untrustworthy over unfulfilled promises.

Mahathir said Anwar had announced that he had a strong and formidable majority to form the federal government to take over Putrajaya from Perikatan Nasional but there has yet to be any change.

“When Pakatan Harapan could not be government anymore, we tried to work together even though PPBM was no longer in PH.

“We had what was called PH Plus. We offered to work with PH (to regain control of the government), but Anwar rejected me and said I could not join.

“I offered myself as Prime Minister for only six months, but he said this was not acceptable and that Shafie Apdal also could not be Prime Minister.

“After that, he said he had a strong, formidable and convincing majority,” Mahathir said.

“He had repeatedly said he had the majority but it did not happen. If you want to continue to believe in what he says, then that is your problem.

“As far as I’m concerned, I don’t believe whatever he says anymore. I tried to work with him, I was willing to forget my stand just to work with him but he did not want to work with me.”
