Kota Kinabalu: Several foreign investors are keen to invest in the proposed new State Cultural Centre in Kinarut, according to the Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta).Its Chairman, Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw, said the new Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) State Government should provide more details on the said project to enable Satta to brief its potential investors. “We have been asking for the details since 2019 during the Warisan-led state government, but nothing forthcoming,” said Liaw when met after attending the Sabah Maju Jaya-Engagement Session with Sabah Tourism Stakeholders chaired by Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Arifin at a hotel here.

The plans to construct the new cultural centre was first shared by then Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew two years ago. Details were not disclosed at the time.
