Kota Kinabalu: The Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) says some students under its four Chinese primary schools here are also facing difficulties in keeping up with their studies due to the lack of digital tools and poor Internet connection.

Its President Datuk Michael Lui (pic) said this was based on a recent survey on PdPR (home-based learning) conducted amid the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0.

“Based on the survey, it is only proper for the Federal Government to expedite the distribution of free laptops to 150,000 students as stated in the 2021 Budget.

“We hope the Government will announce the procedure of distribution and beneficiaries as soon as possible to resolve the problems faced by students, particularly the underprivileged,” he said.
