Chelsea boss Frank Lampard felt his players gave Manchester City too much room during Sunday's 3-1 defeat.
Lampard lamented the home team standing off City when they were in possession and their failure to bounce back when going a goal down.
The Blues manager admits they were given a lesson in the first-half, though took some heart from the performance after the break.
The result sees Chelsea drop to eighth on the Premier League table.
