Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is delighted with the progress of Phil Foden.
The 20-year-old was at his productive and dynamic best once more during Wednesday's superb 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final win at Manchester United.
“I can't talk highly enough of Phil's obsession for football. I loved playing but this guy is obsessed," Lescott declared speaking on the latest edition of City's We're Not Really Here matchday show.
“I worked with the England Under-21s about 18 months ago and they had to ban footballs from the hotel because Phil literally walks around dribbling to the canteen!
“He's never without a ball to where at training sessions, they have to monitor the extra sessions because he won't come off the field!
“The fact that he's playing for the team he loves the most is only great for Man City. We all wanted to be footballers but to do it for the team he loves the most is remarkable.
“When has he not impacted or influenced a game?
“The consistency levels are ridiculous… at such a young age it's remarkable."
