Real Madrid midfielder Takefusa Kubo is happy with his first week at Getafe.

Kubo left his loan with Villarreal to join Getafe to the end of this season.

"[Expectations and pressure] come thanks to what I have been doing and it is also true that there are few Japanese in LaLiga Santander," Kubo told Getafe's official media.

"It is good for the Japanese [players] and me that many people play football and reach these leagues.

"It is good for a player to play, do things well and come out in the press. We have to see it as something good for us.

"More than responsibility, I see it as a demand, that the trust they have put in me must be paid back with results and games. I must respond to that."

Kubo has hit the ground running at Getafe, for whom he has already become a key starter after his move this January. The Japanese has hailed the dressing room environment at the Madrid-based club.

"I am already adapting, I am getting accustomed to the facilities, the pitch and the people who work here," noted Kubo.

"I have not been able to find out much yet, but I love everything I have seen.

"It's a very cheerful dressing room. People talk, they communicate a lot.

"Sometimes they even talk too much and I like it. For a new player like me or Carles [Alena] it takes a while to adapt, but this team have been very open with us and they have us welcomed very well."
