Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson insists Vicente Guaita will be staying.
Hodgson has moved to pour cold water on claims in Spain that Guaita could be set to depart having signed a pre-contract with Real Sociedad, with his current deal reportedly due to expire at the end of the season.
The Crystal Palace boss said: "That's a new one to me so I wasn't even aware quite frankly that his contract was running out - perhaps I should've been.
"I was under the impression that he was under contract to us but I'd have to check that one I'm afraid.
"He might not be in a position to sign a pre-contract agreement!"
