Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admits there were concern the game against West Brom wouldn't go ahead due to the weather.

The Gunners were comfortable 4-0 winners on Saturday night.

Arteta said, "We had a big week, three games in seven days and we managed to win them and everything looks much better. It was difficult conditions but the team looked sharp from the start. It's a big win.

"After the results we had before we had to lift things straight away. Now we have got some discipline back. We look more creative in the final third and we look solid at the back.

"There were moments when we were two of three up that it was sloppy and I didn't like and we have to work on.

"Hopefully the weather will allow us to get back. It wasn't great in these conditions. The way it was looking an hour before [kick-off] we were concerned. I think the referee made the right call [to play] because the weather improved and they were able to clear the pitch."
