Manchester City fullback Oleksandr Zinchenko says the players know the significance of tonight's meeting with Aston Villa.
Pep Guardiola's side are currently on a 15-match unbeaten run in all competitions and go into Wednesday night's game against Aston Villa knowing victory would send them top of the league.
“It is a great opportunity for us, to win tomorrow and be back on the top of the league," Zinchenko said.
“It will give us more confidence I would say.
“It is a really nice feeling to be at the top of the table and everyone misses this. That is what we need and that is what we want."
He added: “The feeling is really good. We are on the right way but we still have to improve a lot of things, especially closer to the opponents target because we have to score more.
“We are really creating a lot of chances but in the final third we have to do better."
