Tottenham hero Mickey Hazard says losing Harry Kane to injury is a huge blow for manager Jose Mourinho.

Injured in defeat to Liverpool, Spurs lost on Sunday at Brighton in his absence.

"He is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world. He's good in the air, can use both feet and runs with the ball at pace," said Hazard, a UEFA Cup winner with Spurs in 1984, to the Daily Star.

"But he's now added something else this season.

"Kane has also been tackling and clearing corners. In some games he's playing as a defender, midfielder and striker.

"One of the best forwards I played with was Teddy Sheringham.

"He used to drop off his marker, get involved in the build up and then sneak into the box late unmarked. I love to see Kane doing the same.

"But the passing and vision he's also got reminds me of Glenn Hoddle.

"We've seen plenty of playmaking and vision from Kane under Mourinho. He'll run with his head up, see what's around him and support his team-mates.

"And despite all of that extra work, he's still got plenty of goals and looks threatening."
