Brighton boss Graham Potter is happy with Aaron Connolly's form.

Connolly started at Burnley and would have opened up a 2-0 lead for this side but for a fine save by Nick Pope.

He twice fired off target in the second half, once when running at the defence with no support up with him and once when he had better options to pick out.

Potter said: “He is fine. He is a human being so you don't like to have that type of criticism, especially when you are trying to learn the game and trying to find your feet in the Premier League.

"He is a young player from our academy who is trying to be a centre forward in the hardest league in world football.

"It is not straight forward for him. I thought he did well for the team.

"He forced Nick Pope to make a good save when we were 1-0 up.

"We just need to look after him, keep helping him and he will fine."
