Indon illegals’ bid to flee foiled

LAHAD DATU: The Immigration Department here foiled an attempt to smuggle out 28 suspected Indonesian illegal immigrants via Tawau when they detained a trailer under “Ops Serkap” at a roadblock at (SJR) Km 38 at 12.30am on Tuesday.

Sabah Immigration Director Datuk Dr Muhamad Sade, when contacted, said the operation was led by the Head of Enforcement Unit, Senior Deputy Assistant Director of Immigration (TPPK) Wang Poo Ching and six officers.
