SHAH ALAM, Feb 9 — The newly-enhanced SELangkah (Step In, Safely) contact-tracing app will include the RSVP system, short for Register and Sign Up for Your Vaccine Pack, that will enable users to register and sign up to receive the Covid-19 vaccine from the state government.

The RSVP feature is among the new features to be introduced during the launch of the SELangkah app, which was virtually revealed by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today.

“RSVP stands for ‘Register and Sign Up for Your Vaccine Pack’ and this feature is to facilitate the state government’s delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to the people in a more organised manner,” explained local actress and singer Adibah Noor, who was featured to present the new SELangkah app in the virtual launch.

Some of the newly-added functions included in the SELangkah app are the dual-system scanning function for both SELangkah and MySejahtera QR code, GPS entry registration, scan history, bulletin board on Covid-19 updates, community screening portal as well as commercial and administrative functions via the SELangkah Biz as well as SELangkah Pay features.

In January, Amirudin had announced that the state administration plans to purchase between three million to five million doses of the vaccine to curb the Covid-19 transmission in the state.

The state initiative was welcomed by Putrajaya and the Health Ministry.
