Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font insists the club will survive if Lionel Messi leaves this summer.
Messi comes off contract at the end of this season.
While insisting revelations over the captain's contract should not detract from what Messi has given the club, Font is adamant Barca could handle his departure.
"Messi is a huge asset, but if he is not here in the future, it is not the end of the world. Messi generates a lot," said Font to Onda Cero.
"To say that Barcelona has been ruined by Messi is the wrong conclusion."
