Arsenal loanee James Olayinka is due back at Southend United later this week.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been sidelined since mid-January with ankle injury.
But Southend boss Mark Molesley expects Olayinka to make a return soon.
"We're hoping to have him back in the building at the end of the week," said Molesley, via the Southend Echo.
"He's going to need a week to 10 days of training with the team but he's a very talented player.
"Seeing him running around in a Southend shirt will be a great sight and we're looking forward to having him back in the building."
