Burnley boss Sean Dyche says they produced one of their best performances of the season for the 3-0 win at Crystal Palace.
The Clarets sprung out of the blocks to take a 2-0 lead within 10 minutes through goals from Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jay Rodriguez.
Matt Lowton's stunning third soon after the re-start effectively killed off all hopes Palace had of a second half fightback.
Dyche said: “The fact you are away from home to a good outfit, and given the energy, tempo, mixed play, quality and some terrific displays, that's probably up there as one of our most complete performances of the season.
“It's a very pleasing win and we started well. I had to make some important decisions in the week for the cup game, but I felt the main side that had been playing needed a rest.
“I got a few question marks when we went out – and I felt then we could have delivered a performance to win, but we didn't – whereas today we did.
“It's risk and reward and of course, when you deliver a performance like that, it makes sense, and you have to say it was a good call because the players looked so strong."
