Phone holders for delivery riders

SANDAKAN: Sabah Association of Bangsa Sungai (Sabas) distributed 30 motorcycle mobile phone holders to food delivery riders to help them carry out the services safely. 

Its President Datuk Juhari Janan said among the initiatives was to create awareness on the importance of maintaining road safety rules. 

 “We hope the riders will prioritise safety while riding. Sabas will continue to provide more mobile phone holders to them,” he told reporters at the device and food packs distribution programme, here.

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Grab Food delivery rider Jaafar Pame expressed his appreciation for the contribution, adding that it would make it easier for him to deal with customers placing their orders online.

“All this while, there was a risk whenever I answered the phone while riding the motorcycle. So, with this accessory, it can guarantee (my) safety,” he added.

Another Foodpanda delivery rider, Nicodemus Pang, 23, admitted that it was difficult to deal with customers while on the road and thanked Sabas for its concern by contributing the mobile phone holder.
