Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp enjoyed a dig at Manchester City rival Pep Guardiola ahead of Sunday's showdown.

The first shots were fired in his snipe at Manchester City's kind schedule and the battle was fully engaged when Jurgen Klopp discussed their tactics.

“We had a game against them at Anfield when I don't think their full-back Kyle Walker passed the halfway line," said the Liverpool manager when asked about City's tentative approach on Mersey soil.

Klopp though is unsure if that will persuade Guardiola to change his approach.

Asked if it would have an impact on City's tactics, Klopp said: “I don't know if he sees it like that. We all know how much the supporters help.

"For a long time it didn't affect us, results wise, but it has in the last few weeks and that is actually the exact opposite of what we want. We have to make sure the atmosphere, good or bad, doesn't make a difference.

“They don't have atmosphere, we don't have atmosphere, so let's go for it with all we have."
