Jose Mourinho is 'very happy' working with Ledley King, insisting it is 'just the beginning' in the Tottenham legend's coaching career.
King, who played 323 times for Spurs, joined Mourinho's backroom staff last summer after previously serving as club ambassador.
"It is just the beginning for him," Mourinho said of King. "When he stopped playing football of course his career in the club went in another direction, it didn't go immediately to the coaching side, the pitch side, it went in different areas so he was not developing as a coach.
"So for him it was really the beginning, he never had that chance that we gave him this season.
I'm happy. I am happy with the man and I am happy with the coach and I couldn't be more happy with the opportunity that we gave him.
"First of all because he just loves it, he wants to learn, he feels he can develop, I am very happy with Ledley and all my other assistants, they like to work with him because he is such a nice guy."
