Manchester United U23s coach Neil Wood has no problem playing Hannibal Mejbri and Shola Shoretire, but hopes the pair can stay training with the first-team.
Both teenagers were elevated to the first-team training squad last week, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting to get a closer look at the precocious young talents.
The pair will continue to play with the U23 side for now, but Wood hopes Mejbri and Shoretire won't have to look back for long.
"I think they still want to play!" Wood told the Manchester Evening News. "So if they are not playing with the first-team then they are the type of characters asking me 'can we play?'
"So that's not so much of a problem at the minute because they are so eager to do well and so eager to play. I think they are just going with the first-team to learn, to make an impact if they can and to continue their development.
"It is a little bit different to training with the U23s everyday, so hopefully I would like to say I don't want to see them come back to us, like Brandon when he went up there and a few of the others. We're happy if they come back and continue playing for us if they are not involved in the first-team squad - it is important for them to keep playing football."
