Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has denied plans to sack coach Rino Gattuso and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.
De Laurentiis took to social media to rubbish the rumours.
"I don't understand why an authoritative newspaper like Repubblica should write fake news," he posted to social media.
"It's true that this is fashionable now and more or less everyone is doing it, perhaps to get some sensationalism.
“I am not kicking out director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli. The amusing thing is that some, who are mistaken, perhaps want me to kick more or less everyone out."
