Southampton have released coach Raidi Jaidi from his contract.

Jaïdi has departed the club following his secondment with Hartford Athletic and has now joined Belgian side Cercle Brugge as assistant coach.

Jaidi joined USL Championship side Hartford Athletic in November 2019, as part of an emerging partnership between the Connecticut-based outfit and the Southampton Academy.

Following a successful season in the United States, where he led Hartford to the play-offs for the first time in their history, Jaïdi has now moved onto a new opportunity in Belgium, with his time at St Mary's now formally at a close.

He departs after more than ten years with the club as player and then coach, with Jaïdi notably taking charge of the Under-23s for a number of seasons, overseeing promotion into Division One of Premier League 2 in 2019, as well as progression to the semi-finals of the Premier League International Cup.
