Arsenal youngster Levi Laing has been trialling with West Ham United.
Jeorge Bird's Arsenal Youth website reports the versatile Hale End product, who can play in most positions in defence or midfield, has been informed by Arsenal that he is unlikely to be offered a professional contract when his scholarship contract expires at the end of this season.
Last week, the 17-year-old was in action for West Ham's U18 side against Arsenal at London Colney today as he was deployed at centre-back.
England youth international Laing previously played for West Ham against Aston Villa at U18 level.
