Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw has likened Mason Greenwood to Robin van Persie.
Greenwood signed a new four-year contract with United on Tuesday, and although he has scored just four goals in 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, the 19-year-old striker broke through by scoring 18 goals in the 2019/20 season.
Asked by Sky Sports who the best finisher in United's squad was Shaw replied: “There are many good finishers in our team… I would say Rashy, Anthony… Mason has got beautiful finishing - he reminds me of when I was here with Van Persie.
"His finishing - he was so deadly in front of goal. Nearly every opportunity Van Persie had, he'd score and of course Mason is still very young but you can tell his finishing is unbelievable - both feet, left, right - beautiful technique and he normally slots it in the right corners.
"I think everybody knows. Of course he's still very young and can improve and learn more but I think Mason's finishing is really good."
